About Me

Hi I’m Rachel, I’m a registered nutritionist and mental health expert. I am passionate about helping independent, high-flying career women to improve their mood and feel revitalised, reenergised and restored.

I’ve always been a real foodie but I wasn't always aware of the influence diet and lifestyle could have on your mental and physical health.

For 10 years I was a typical career girl, a workaholic who thrived on stress and success. In parallel I played hard, cramming in as many social commitments as I could into my limited spare time.

At one point the best sleep I had in a week was on the Monday morning red-eye flight to Amsterdam.

I survived on processed food grabbed between meetings and ate out most nights. I spinned the plates and rushed through life.

Fast forward to my 30s and this lifestyle began to take it’s toll. I became frustrated at work and my mood plummeted. I found myself missing personal appointments and disengaging from my family and friends.

I instinctively knew something was wrong but didn’t want to admit it to myself out of fear of failure.

In 2016 I experienced what some might call a nervous breakdown or ‘burnout’. These were some of my symptoms:

  • Exhaustion

  • Overwhelm

  • Nervous tension

  • Mood swings

  • Insomnia

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Difficulty concentrating

  • Brain fog

  • Loss of motivation & drive

  • Weight gain

  • Bloating / IBS

  • Sugar cravings

  • PCOS

  • Stress and female hormone imbalance

  • Anaemia

  • Low blood pressure

  • Blurred vision and dizziness

  • Random black outs and fainting fits

It took total burnout to make me realise that something had to change.

In 2017 I “quit corporate” and embarked on a new adventure training to be a nutritionist and functional medicine practitioner. At the same time I began to put my new knowledge into practice: eating a whole food diet and practicing self-care through exercise, yoga and relaxation. I experienced first hand how I could restore my health through personalised nutrition and lifestyle medicine.

The dark clouds lifted, my weight normalised, I was no longer bloated and I had more energy than I’ve had in years. I felt like me again.

Now, as the founder of re:Nutrition, I help ‘tired and wired’, high-achievers who are experiencing the chronic affects of a work-hard, play-hard lifestyle. Together we create simple therapeutic solutions that can be adopted into their busy lives to help them rebalance their mood and leave them feeling reenergised, revitalised and restored.
